For Mario of Kaiser’s Vienna, it was his love for traditional Viennese cuisine that inspired him to begin a new entrepreneurial chapter in Dubai. After years in the real estate industry, he took the bold step into hospitality.

Kaiser’s Vienna: Entrepreneurship Runs in the Family

Mario has Serbian roots but was born in Vienna. His fascination with real estate began at an early age. His father, who has worked in the industry for many years, often took him along to business appointments when he was a child.

Mario eventually followed in his father’s footsteps, specializing in purchasing properties in need of renovation, upgrading them and reselling them. Along the way, he learned to take responsibility, recognize opportunities and remain solution-oriented even when facing setbacks.

Moving to Dubai opened up an entirely new perspective for Mario. He had always been interested in the hospitality industry and found himself missing the traditional Viennese cuisine he had grown up with.

That longing inspired the creation of Kaiser’s Vienna. As a regular visitor to Market Island at Dubai Festival City, Mario was drawn to its vibrant atmosphere and eventually decided to establish his own restaurant concept there.

Authenticity remains at the heart of his philosophy. Mario personally tastes the dishes to ensure they capture the flavours and childhood memories he associates with Austria. At the same time, he embraces the preferences of Dubai’s international audience without compromising the cuisine’s Austrian identity.

Kaiser’s Vienna: The Courage to Embrace New Challenges

Entering the hospitality industry meant stepping into unfamiliar territory. From kitchen planning and government approvals to staffing and daily operations, Mario faced an entirely new set of challenges.

His experience in real estate, particularly his ability to communicate and connect with people, proved invaluable.

And what does the future hold? Mario intends to expand his hospitality ventures across the United Arab Emirates. Whether through Kaiser’s Vienna or an entirely new concept remains to be seen.
