Holistic Escape at DAS EDELWEISS
A Five-Star Alpine Retreat with a Signature Mountain Spa
Regeneration and calm define DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort in Großarl. This five-star retreat, run by the Hettegger family, is a beloved refuge for physical refreshment and mental balance. Guests find prevention, mindful movement, clean nutrition, and modern treatments — all connected by the resort’s signature Mountain Spa experience.
High-Tech Beauty: The Icoone® Laser
Since June 2025, the Icoone® Laser has enriched the Health & Beauty menu. This non-invasive technology tightens skin, reduces cellulite, boosts lymph flow, and helps athletes recover faster. It fits naturally into the resort’s wellness vision and elevates the Mountain Spa with cutting-edge results. “We are always seeking new ways to help our guests feel lighter, more beautiful, and more alive,” says host Karin Hettegger.
Retreats and Daily Rituals
Tailored retreats are the heart of the health concept. Health Manager and Yoga Teacher Johanna Bagowski leads the Vitality Retreat, which blends detox, mindful exercise, breathing sessions, and healthy living insights. Throughout the year, more retreats — from yoga to Pilates — inspire both newcomers and seasoned guests. The EDELWEISS Vitality Retreat returns November 10–14, 2025, starting at €1,250 per person.
Guests also enjoy a daily activity program that brings balance into everyday life. Yoga, aqua fit, fascia training, breathwork, and sauna rituals enhance wellbeing, while massages and energy therapies deepen relaxation. All these treatments and rituals connect back to the Mountain Spa, which is the resort’s sanctuary for regeneration.
Alpine Skincare and Natural Luxury
The in-house EDELWEISS Natur line, developed with pharmacist Monika Wirnsberger-Machner, harnesses alpine plants and pure mountain air. Local wood, loden, and stone reflect the region’s roots and create harmony for the body and mind.
A newly renovated double room starts at €230 per person, including gourmet half-board (excluding drinks), breakfast, a four-course dinner, an initial minibar fill, and access to the expansive Mountain Spa — which covers an impressive 7,000 sqm.
Managed by the Hettegger family for three generations, DAS EDELWEISS combines genuine hospitality with modern alpine design. Guests appreciate its awards from Michelin Guide, Gault Millau, Wellness Heaven, Falstaff, and Connoisseur Circle.
