Fisherman’s Cove Resort Seychelles Begins a Bold New Era with Full Renovation
A new chapter begins for one of the Indian Ocean’s most iconic destinations.
The legendary Seychelles Fisherman’s Cove Resort will temporarily close on May 31st, 2025, for a complete transformation.
This historic resort is the oldest in the Seychelles. It first opened its doors in 1943 as a guesthouse.
After the international airport launched in 1972, it evolved into a full-fledged beachfront resort.
Since 2020, it has been part of the STORY Hospitality collection. Now it will be upgraded from four stars to five.
The renovation will span two years. It will preserve the Seychelles resort’s unique Creole character while enhancing comfort and luxury.
“We aim to preserve Seychelles’ spirit while raising the guest experience,” said CEO Victor Abou-Ghanem of STORY Hospitality.
Guests can expect redesigned rooms, elevated amenities, and fresh lifestyle spaces that reflect Seychellesnisland elegance.
Located along the shores of Beau Vallon Bay, the resort is famed for its tranquil beauty and local warmth.
The refreshed concept will feature new culinary options, wellness upgrades, and immersive island experiences.
“Seychellois people are proud of this resort,” said General Manager Marlon Abeyakoon.
“We honor that pride with this thoughtful renewal.”
The redesign respects its history while embracing today’s luxury travel standards. Each detail is rooted in authenticity and elegance.
STORY Hospitality continues its mission
to create memorable, sensory-rich stays that tell a unique story.
The team expresses sincere gratitude to loyal guests, staff, and partners.
The resort will reopen in 2027, more inspiring and welcoming than ever before.
