A Bold New Chapter for Boutique Cruising
Emerald Cruises has launched its most ambitious schedule yet. The Yacht Routes 2027–2028 feature 25 exciting new itineraries, and over 170 departures across four luxurious yachts. These voyages will span more than 200 ports in 70 countries, offering both variety and depth.
This expansion reflects a growing demand for meaningful travel. Guests seek more than just beautiful views—they want immersive, local experiences. Because of that, Emerald Cruises has extended shore time, included more overnights, and added smaller, authentic destinations that large ships can’t reach.
New Features of the Yacht Routes 2027–2028
The 2027–2028 program was designed to combine discovery with comfort. Guests will enjoy longer stays in port, as well as the flexibility to choose short or extended voyages. Since many routes are now combinable, travelers can personalize their cruise experience more than ever.
Top highlights:
- Emerald Raiya’s 10-day maiden voyage from Valletta to Athens, starting April 8, 2027
- 19 new ports, including hidden gems in Greece, Italy, Turkey, France, the Caribbean, and Central America
- Smart scheduling with late departures and overnight stays for more in-depth exploration
- Deployment in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Central America, and the Indian Ocean
Emerald Azzurra: Culture, Nature, and Coastal Icons
From spring through summer 2027, Emerald Azzurra sails through the Adriatic and Eastern Mediterranean. Guests visit Venice, Corfu, and Dubrovnik, and even sail through the Corinth Canal—which only a few ships can access.
Later in the year, the yacht moves to warmer waters. In winter, it explores the Caribbean and Central America. Passengers can snorkel in the Tobago Cays, hike in Costa Rica’s Manuel Antonio National Park, or experience a full Panama Canal transit.
Emerald Sakara: Glamour in Europe and Serenity in the Tropics
For those who love European elegance, Emerald Sakara cruises the western Mediterranean. Stops include Saint-Tropez, Porto Cervo, and the Amalfi Coast, as well as lesser-known ports like Pantelleria and Arbatax. These are places with charm and character, often unreachable by larger ships.
In winter, the yacht island-hops across the Caribbean. Guests sail between Barbados, Sint Maarten, and the Virgin Islands, stopping at exclusive spots like Gustavia and Iles des Saintes—where white sand and turquoise waters await.
Emerald Kaia: Cultural Depth and Tropical Escape
New to the fleet, Emerald Kaia starts in Athens. She offers routes between Venice, Dubrovnik, and Rome, mixing iconic sights with quiet towns. Because the itineraries range from seven to twelve nights, they suit both short getaways and extended vacations.
In winter 2027–2028, Kaia sails the Caribbean with one-way routes from San Juan or Antigua. Ports like Montserrat and Saint John deliver an easy-going island feel, while Miami adds an urban touch at the journey’s end.
Emerald Raiya: The Jewel of the Yacht Routes 2027–2028
Leading the Yacht Routes 2027–2028 is Emerald Raiya. Her debut itinerary features lesser-known stops like Lesvos, Kepez, and Katakolo, as well as the sacred island of Delos. While these ports are small, they offer rich cultural rewards.
In winter, Raiya sails the Red Sea and East African coast. Guests can explore the lagoons of the Seychelles, the historic streets of Mombasa, and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Disah Canyon. These itineraries combine exotic locations with the comfort of a luxury yacht.
What’s Next: Introducing Emerald Xara in 2028
Looking ahead, Emerald Cruises will welcome Emerald Xara in 2028. This fifth yacht will further expand the brand’s reach into warm-water regions, offering new possibilities for exploration.
Ken Muskat, President of Scenic Group USA and LATAM, sums it up:
“With the Yacht Routes 2027–2028, we meet modern travelers where their curiosity leads. These routes are refined, personal, and full of unexpected magic.”
