Atlantis Dubai Breaks Middle East Record
Six stars under one roof – Dubai’s culinary scene reaches new heights
Atlantis Dubai has redefined the luxury dining scene in the Middle East. With six Michelin stars awarded to four of its restaurants, it now ranks as the most decorated culinary destination in the region. The latest addition, FZN by Björn Frantzén, earned a prestigious three stars less than a year after opening.
A Michelin Debut with Global Impact
FZN opened its doors in November 2024. Within months, it achieved what few restaurants ever do – three Michelin stars. This honour places chef Björn Frantzén in a league of his own, as the only chef in the world with three separate restaurants each holding three stars.
The menu is a nine-course journey blending Nordic precision with Japanese harmony. Guests begin the evening with canapés in a living room setting. Then they’re taken on a guided house tour before dining in a 27-seat room crafted for culinary immersion. The evening closes with miso madeleines and petit fours – a signature finale that stays with you.
Michelin Stars Retained: Ossiano, Hakkasan, and Dinner by Heston
The success of FZN is part of a broader achievement. Three more Atlantis restaurants – Ossiano, Hakkasan Dubai, and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal – all maintained their Michelin stars in the 2025 edition.
- Ossiano continues to impress with its underwater dining room and ocean-inspired tasting menus. It ranked No.5 on MENA’s 50 Best and earned the ‘Art of Hospitality’ award.
- Hakkasan blends heritage and innovation under Chef Andy Toh. New signature dishes and cocktails keep the experience fresh.
- Dinner by Heston offers a reimagined take on Britain’s culinary past. Its dishes carry historical narratives, and in 2025, it retained both its Michelin star and its place in the Gault&Millau rankings.
These accomplishments reflect not only consistency but also creative evolution.
Michelin Mentions and New Additions Strengthen the Portfolio
Beyond the six stars, several restaurants at Atlantis received continued praise in the Michelin Guide 2025. These include Nobu Dubai, La Mar by Gastón Acurio, estiatorio Milos, and Ariana’s Persian Kitchen. Moreover, Studio Frantzén, another concept by Björn Frantzén, joined the guide as a new entry.
Together, these recognitions confirm Atlantis Dubai’s position as the region’s top-tier dining hub.
Leadership Statements Underscore the Culinary Vision
Paul Baker, President of Atlantis, highlighted the broader significance:
“Having four Michelin-awarded restaurants under one destination is a testament to our commitment to culinary excellence. It gives both locals and international guests access to the finest cuisine in one place.”
Chef Björn Frantzén added, “This is not just an individual milestone. It reflects the work of a passionate and visionary team. Dubai felt right, and Atlantis proved to be the perfect partner.”
Michelin Excellence in a Destination Like No Other
Atlantis The Palm and Atlantis The Royal go beyond luxury. They combine architecture, entertainment, and now – unmatched gastronomy. From marine habitats and fire fountains to record-breaking slides and rooftop sky pools, the resorts create a universe of experiences.
Now, with more Michelin-starred restaurants than anywhere else in the Middle East, Atlantis Dubai also offers a new definition of fine dining.
