Yoga in Sölden with Mountain Views

The five-star Hotel Das Central in Sölden has introduced a wellness experience unlike any other in Austria. Guests can now practice yoga in Sölden at ice Q, the two-toque gourmet restaurant located at 3,048 meters on the Gaislachkogl peak. This makes it the highest indoor yoga location in the country. The combination of mindful practice and the surrounding alpine scenery turns each session into an unforgettable ritual above the clouds.

A Morning of Balance and Energy

Once a week during summer, ice Q shifts from fine dining to mindfulness. In the calm lounge on the first floor, floor-to-ceiling glass walls frame the surrounding 3,000-meter peaks. Led by activity coach Anja, the session blends Yin and Flow Yoga, balancing relaxation and movement. Guests find not only physical strength but also mental clarity, supported by the silence of the high mountains.

The Journey to the Summit

The experience begins at 8:30 a.m. at Das Central. Guests walk together to the Gaislachkoglbahn, where the ride to the summit is included with the Ötztal Summer Card. Arriving at the top, the atmosphere changes instantly — crisp mountain air, wide horizons, and the tranquil setting of ice Q. For one hour, participants immerse themselves fully in their yoga practice, disconnecting from daily stress and connecting with the natural environment.

After practice, the morning continues with a healthy breakfast in the ice Q restaurant. Known for its Alpine Cuisine, the restaurant serves light and nourishing dishes that give energy for the day ahead. The setting itself enhances the experience: panoramic views of the Ötztal Alps paired with fine culinary creations at more than 3,000 meters above sea level.

Part of a Holistic Hotel Concept

This yoga in Sölden session is included in the summer activity program of Hotel Das Central. Participation is free for hotel guests with prior registration. Yoga mats are provided, and the Ötztal Summer Card covers cable car access. By combining movement, mindfulness, and nutrition, the hotel offers a modern wellness approach that fits perfectly with its philosophy of alpine luxury.

Why Yoga in Sölden Feels So Unique

Practicing yoga at high altitude creates a profound connection between body and environment. Each breath of fresh mountain air feels deeper, every movement stronger, and the stillness of the peaks brings an unusual clarity. It is this rare combination of mindful practice, natural beauty, and exclusive atmosphere that makes yoga in Sölden not just a class, but a holistic alpine experience that stays with participants long after they leave.
